Prayer rooms, public toilets opened at Tiruchi airport

Tiruchi Lok Sabha member Durai Vaiko on Sunday inaugurated a prayer room at the arrival side of the Tiruchi international airport on Sunday. Airport Director G. Gopalakrishnan and other airport officials were present during the inauguration.  Another prayer room has been opened at the domestic departure side.  Mr. Durai Vaiko offered prayers for a few minutes along with some persons inside the prayer hall.

A press release from the Tiruchi airport authorities said new public toilets have been opened at the departure drop point to ensure convenience and ease of access for all visitors. The toilets are equipped with state-of-the-art fixtures ensuring hygiene and comfort.

Special attention has been given to accessibility with features such as ramps, grab bars, and wider doorways for ease of use by persons with reduced mobility. The toilets have been provided with energy efficient lighting and cleanliness would be ensured round-the-clock by a housekeeping team.
