A goonda gang attacked the police team, who arrived to investigate a brawl during a drug party in Nallankara, Thrissur on Saturday (June 28, 2025) morning. Four policemen sustained injuries, and three police jeeps were vandalised in the assault.
The incident took place around 3 a.m. when a clash broke out between two groups attending the party. It is reported that the party was hosted by brothers Altaf and Ahmed at their residence in Nallankara. The party was attended by their friends Brahmajith, accused in many murder cases, and his friends.
As the scuffle escalated and spilled onto the street, somebody in the neighbourhood alerted the police. The first patrol team that arrived was ambushed by the gang hiding nearby. Subsequently, two more police vehicles were also attacked.
Brahmajit has reportedly led the violent attack against the police..The police managed to arrest six individuals, including Brahmajith, while others fled the scene.
