Tensions in Nagpur
Aurangzeb, the longest reigning Mughal Emperor, died in 1707. His final resting place has now become a focal point for violence in Nagpur. Any attempt to demolish the tomb is not only a dangerous attempt to rewrite history but is also a direct threat to the peace and stability of the State. Maharashtra faces numerous challenges, which include rising unemployment, farmer distress and the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. These are serious issues that should be addressed on a priority. The diversion being created serves no purpose other than to stoke communal tensions.

Vaccines and seniors
Adult vaccines have yet to become popular among senior citizens due to a lack of awareness and the non-availability of a regimen as in the case of paediatric vaccines. The flu vaccine, which is periodically updated based on the prevalent serotypes, is mostly imported and is not affordable for everyone. One hopes that Indian manufacturers take up the issue and ensure that it is made affordable.
