A retired SBI employee, J.S. Chandramouli of Visakhapatnam, who went on a tour to Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), is reported missing on Tuesday. He was not responding to phone calls.
More than 25 tourists were shot dead after a group of terrorists opened fire on them at Pahalgam on Tuesday.
According to sources, a retired employee of State Bank of India, J.S. Chandramouli and his wife, J. Naga Mani, of Pandurangapuram area, and two more couples went for a tour to Kashmir.
Except Mr. Chandramouli, the remaining five tourists, including Ms. Naga Mani, were located, says their kin and expressed fear over the safety of the retired bank staffer.
Speaking to The Hindu, on Tuesday, Visakhapatnam Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Deputy Superintendent of Police B.V.S. Nageswara Rao has appealed to the police officers to locate his brother-in-law, Mr. Chandramouli, who went missing in Pahalgam.
Police said they were trying to get details on tourists from Andhra Pradesh.
