NMDC’s iron ore output rose 15% in December 2025, sales 19%

State-owned iron ore producer NMDC reported December output rose nearly 15% to 5.40 million tonne compared to 4.71 MT a year earlier. Sales increased almost 19% to 4.64 MT (3.91 MT).

For the nine months ended December, iron ore production stood at 36.89 MT, which is 20% higher compared to 30.77 MT in the corresponding period of previous fiscal. Sales upto the third quarter of the fiscal totalled 34.92 MT (31.80 MT), an increase of nearly 10% year on year.

NMDC is eyeing a record 55 MT iron ore production in 2025-26.
