A 61-year-old man was arrested by the Kothamangalam police on Wednesday for allegedly murdering a 50-year-old friend by striking him on the head with a weapon at Varappetty, near Kothamangalam. The arrested is Francis of Parayampady, Varappetty.
The victim, Sijo, 50, of Erambra, was found dead in the bedroom of Francis house. The police launched an investigation after a neighbour of Francis reported the incident.
The Kothamangalam police registered a murder case against Francis under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhitha.
