Madhu Bangarappa launches Bhu Suraksha in Shivamogga

Minister for School Education Madhu Bangarappa launched Bhu Suraksha at the office of Shivamogga tahsildar on Saturday.

Minister for School Education Madhu Bangarappa on Saturday launched the Bhu Suraksha Scheme, a programme to preserve the records of the Revenue Department in Shivamogga.

Mr. Madhu, who is also the Minister in charge of Shivamogga district, launched the scheme at the record office of the Shivamogga tahsildar’s office.

Speaking to the media, the Minister said that under the programme the land records would be digitized. Once the records are digitized, it will be easy for the public to access them. “The public need not visit the office multiple times. They can easily access them without the intervention of middlemen”, he said.

The programme would help safeguard the old documents and also avoid tampering with the records. “Within a year all the documents will be digitized,” he added.

Deputy Commissioner Gurudatta Hegade, Superintendent of Police G.K. Mithun Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Siddalinga Reddy, and others were present at the programme.
