Powerful Guru Pushya Nakshatra on 24th Oct: How to manifest for children – Times of India

Of the 27 Nakshatra mentioned in Hindu and Vedic astrology, some of them are especially significant. And one of them is the Guru Pushya Nakshatra. While it is often only referred to as the ‘Pushya Nakshatra’, its effects and positivity are doubled when it falls on Thursday, or ‘Guruvar’ as we say in Hindi, and thus comes the Guru Pushya Nakshatra.
And in October 2024, Guru Pushya Nakshatra falls on October 24, Thursday.Surprisingly, the date of this cosmic alignment (Nakshatra) is falling on the same day as Ahoi Ashtami (or Ahoi Aathe) which makes it one of the most powerful, spiritual, and auspicious days for people, especially mothers.

When does it become ‘Guru’ Pushya Nakshatra

The Guru Pushya Nakshatra is basically the alignment of Jupiter (Guru) with the Pushya Nakshatra.
In basic knowledge, the Pushya Nakshatra is ruled by Saturn, and is a symbol of nourishment, growth, and prosperity. And this year, the combination of Guru and Pushya can prove to be extremely beneficial for people, especially women, and those who plan on starting a new venture.

What makes the day so special?

The Guru Pushya Nakshatra is especially important and significant because it mixes the wisdom and prosperity of Jupiter (Guru), and the nurturing qualities of Pushya Nakshatra (Saturn ruled).
And so, this day is believed to bring people immense wisdom, positivity, abundance, growth, and happiness in personal and professional endeavours.

Why is it special for mothers?

This year, as Ahoi Ashtami and the Guru Pushya Nakshatra coincide, it will make the positive energies of the universe amplify. So, imagine all the love, protection, and care of Ahoi Mata, along with the nurturing and wisdom of Guru Pushya Nakshatra. It will all come together to be an excellent time to manifest, put forward your goals, your wants and wishes, and ask the Gods and Goddesses for a better tomorrow.
In fact, this day won’t just be lucky for mothers, but also women who wish to be mothers to healthy children in the future. The Radha Kund Snan (bathing in the Radha Kund) done in Vrindavan can prove to be more beneficial and uplifting for couples who are expecting a child or wish to have a child.

How to manifest during the Guru Pushya Nakshatra?

Manifesting during the Guru Pushya Nakshatra is as easy as sitting down for your regular, everyday puja. And as Ahoi Ashtami is also on the same day, the puja and devotion people put in will be given back to them by the Universe in manifolds.
This Nakshatra, coinciding with Ahoi Ashtami is perfect for mothers who are fasting for their children and gives their prayers an additional boost owing to the alignment of the stars.
It is believed that if a mother has a child whose health is deteriorating, or the child is facing setbacks in life, or there have been problems in their relationship, manifesting the right things on this day can really help.

How to do the manifestation?

This Guru Pushya Nakshatra, and Ahoi Ashtami day, if you would like to manifest the right things for your children, there is a simple, and easy-to-follow way.
First things first, wake up early, take a bath, and then clean the puja room and the home temple well. Once done, place a picture of Ahoi Mata or draw it yourself and stick it in the puja room. It is believed that the best results come when the mother fasts on this day (Ahoi Ashtami), but if you cannot due to certain reasons, try to follow a Sattvic diet with fruits and water.

Then, go about your day as usual, and make sure to have a calm, clear mind throughout the day. If possible, keep chanting a mantra that resonates with you (it could be OM, or a Shiva mantra, or a mantra for Goddess Lakshmi) and do it with concentration and the thought of doing something positive for your children, or visualise something positive happening for them. It could be as little as your child being able to walk on their feet, or something like them being top of the class for the year.
And then, after you gather with other women (mothers and expecting mothers), and listen to the Ahoi Mata vrat katha, come back to your home before breaking the fast.
Now, go into your puja room, sit in front of the home temple (preferably with the child), and then with them visualise and manifest happiness and achievement coming their way. Pray to Ahoi Mata to give them wisdom and help them achieve their dreams, and pray to the Guru Pushya Nakshatra to nurture and guide the child with wisdom.

What else can be manifested on October 24?

Guru Pushya Nakshatra is a great time to start a new venture or initiate something that involves money. Not just this, it is also the perfect time to manifest and invite more wealth and abundance into your life and in the household.
So, if you have been planning to start a new business or project, this day will be an ideal time. The energy of this alignment is believed to give long-term success and stability, making it the perfect time for launching something that you hope will grow and prosper.

Further, many people also choose to invest in sources, especially in gold, property, or other long-term assets on this day. It is said that purchasing valuable items on this day is auspicious and that the money you invest multiplies and comes back to you.

How to manifest wealth and riches

Just like there is a form of manifestation for mothers, there is also for people who wish to invite money into their homes. It is suggested by many experts and astrologers that on the day of Guru Pushya Nakshatra, early in the morning, people should draw a Swastika on a Peepal tree leaf and then keep it in their home temple. This Swastika should be yellow in colour, and when you keep it in the temple, make sure to voice your intentions to the Universe as a way of manifesting more income, wealth, and abundance.
Then, the next day, take that leaf and keep it in the wallet, in the locker at home, or even in the piggy bank if done for children.

Keep this in mind

One thing to keep in mind with this Guru Pushya Nakshatra is that make sure you don’t get too invested in doing everything for material profits and for the self. In Sanatan Dharma, festivals and important days are incomplete without charity work and donations. So, don;t just pray for money to come your way, also donate money to those in need and pray that they never sleep on an empty stomach.
