After four years of marriage, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya shocked everyone when they announced their divorce in 2021. Both Samantha and Naga had shared a statement and said that they parted ways on mutual consent. Since then, both Samantha and Naga seemed to have moved on in life but the former couple have refrained from revealing much about their relationship and divorce.Back then, most people alleged Samantha for the breakdown of her marriage. But the narrative drastically changed on August 8 this year, when Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala made their relationship official by announcing their engagement. Apparently, Naga and Sobhita started dating in 2022 and rumours of their relationship were rife in 2023 when fans has spotted them on vacations together. But, Naga and Sobhita kept their relaitonship underwraps until they got engaged in 2024. That’s when people started sympathising more with Samantha, and some even speculated that maybe it was because of Sobhita that Naga and Samantha’s marriage brokedown– however, there is no proof of it.
More recently, on October 22, Sobhita shared beautiful pictures of her’ Godhuma Raayi Pasupu’– a pre-wedding ceremony– with the caption “And so it begins!”. Regardless of what Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Naga Chaitanya, and Sobhita Dhulipala have said or rather not shared about their personal life and equations, here’s one big take away we can learn from their relationship triangle:
1. Samantha Ruth Prabhu

While Samantha hasn’t spoken about the real reason for her divorce with Naga Chaitanya, she has been quite honest about how she is coping with it. In an interview with Miss Malini, Samatha had shared how she decided to go against her well-wishers and do the now famous item song ‘Oo Antava’ right after her divorce. She further shared that she gave in her 100 per cent to the marriage, however, it did not work out. “In the middle of the separation announcement, every friend, my family members, and my well-wishers asked me to sit at home and not to an item number. My closest friend who usually boosted me, even asked me to NOT do an item song and say no to it. I was like, ‘Okay I am doing it’. I mean, why should I hide, I did not do anything wrong. I gave my marriage 100%, but it didn’t work out. But I am not going to beat myself up and feel guilty for something that I did not do,” she said.
This shows her integrity as a person– she tried to save her marriage, but when nothing much changed she, she quietly moved on without washing the dirty linen in public. After all, one needs to learn in life that they can’t make people love them and so, it is always better to accept them as they are and do what they need to do for themselves.
2. Naga Chaitanya

A 2018 video clip of Naga Chaitanya’s resurfaced on Reddit recently, wherein Naga shockingly admitted that he once two-timed in a relationship. Back then, Naga was married to Samantha. “Everyone should experience everything in life. That’s when you grow up and figure out, okay I’ve had all experiences, now it’s time to settle down,” Naga had said.
After his divorce from Samantha, Naga too hasn’t said much about his failed marriage. However, speaking to journalist Prema in an interview, Naga said that while his divorce was unfortunate, he has “immense respect for that phase” of his life.
These incidents give a glimpse of Naga Chaitanya’s perspective towards life and also teaches people a lesson or two about love and relationship. While one learns what not to do when in a relationship (i.e. cheat on their partner), they can also learn from Naga to be respectful towards their ex if their relationship doesn’t workout for some reason.
3. Sobhita Dhulipala

Ever since Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s relationship is made public, Sobhita has received quite some flak for allegedly causing Naga and Samantha’s divorce. However, the actress seems to be quite unfazed about what others have to say about her or her relationship. Instead, she seems to be quite happy and excited with her upcoming marriage to Naga. One can learn to be more centered in their life and relationships from Sobhita.
