This exquisite saree was crafted in the Chandrapur-Raigarh cluster of Chhattisgarh, known for its intricate traditional handloom techniques. The saree featured timeless polka motifs, handwoven using the Jala technique by Dewangan artisans from the region, who are celebrated for their precision and skill.
The saree’s fabric combined the luxurious Kosa silk warp with a handspun muga silk weft, while the delicate polka motifs were intricately woven with silk gold zari and muga silk, lending the piece a regal elegance.
