The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Saturday announced a new weekend express package tour covering major spiritual and heritage destinations — Srirangapatna, Kallahalli, and Melukote — starting from Bengaluru.
The service began on Saturday, May 31, and will be operational every Saturday and Sunday, according to officials. “The one-day tour aims to provide a convenient travel experience for the public, especially pilgrims and heritage enthusiasts,” said officials.
The itinerary includes visits to prominent sites such as the Nimishamba Temple, Sri Ranganatha Temple at Srirangapatna, Sri Bhoovarahaswamy Temple, Cheluvanarayana Swamy Temple, Akka-Thangi Kalyani, and Rayagopura at Kallahalli and Melukote.
The journey starts from Bengaluru via the access-controlled Bengaluru–Mysuru highway at 6.30 a.m. and returns by 8.15 p.m, spanning approximately 350 kilometres. Breakfast, lunch, and entrance fees are not included in the package.
