Dairy company Heritage Foods reported consolidated net profit for the September quarter increased nearly 5% to ₹51 crore from ₹48.6 crore a year earlier.
The net profit came on a more than 9% increase in the revenue from operations to ₹1,112.5 crore (₹1,019.5 crore). The company said the revenue crossed ₹1,100 crore mark for the second consecutive quarter.
“The revenue growth came despite a challenging operating environment marked by elevated procurement costs and an extended monsoon. We took calibrated price actions to offset inflationary pressures and are confident that improving milk availability, GST-led tailwinds, festive demand and seasonal recovery will drive a stronger second half [of the fiscal],” Executive Director Brahmani Nara said.
Festive season consumption, flush season milk availability and GST-led tailwinds position the company for robust value-added product-led growth in curd, paneer, and emerging categories, the company said in a release.
