Govinda reveals reason behind his hospital visit
Govinda, too, was discharged from a Mumbai hospital the same afternoon. The actor, looking fit and cheerful, greeted the media and explained that he was admitted only as a precaution. “I didn’t really think much about it, but I ended up exercising too much. It was a hard workout, and fatigue followed. I think I got fatigued because of overexercising. Before things got worse, I thought I should get hospitalized as a precaution. Thankfully, I could take timely measures, so it didn’t get more serious,” he told ANI.
Govinda recalls his admiration for Dharmendra
Speaking fondly of the veteran actor, Govinda said he was reminiscing about the golden days of cinema while driving to the hospital. “I was remembering how we used to be fans back in the day — how we would go crazy in theatres when we watched the legendary Dharmendra Ji’s films. I was thinking — what a handsome, youthful, and charismatic personality he was — truly a one-of-a-kind Punjabi legend,” he shared. Now that both he and Dharmendra are home, Govinda took a moment to thank his fans for their endless support. “Their happiness, their blessings — that’s everything to me. I have no words. It’s been years since my films released, yet people’s love for me has never faded,” he said.
Govinda urges youth to stay fit and grateful
Offering a message of wellness and gratitude, Govinda encouraged everyone to take care of their health. “I always tell everyone — stay healthy. Whatever is destined will happen. Do yoga and pranayama. Even if precautions aren’t always possible, yoga and pranayama keep you strong. Every youngster should practice it — my own son does it, and I encourage him too. These things may look simple and easy, but they’re deeply powerful,” he said.Reflecting on lifestyle and longevity, the actor added, “Look at the Japanese — they eat in a way that keeps them youthful even at eighty. That’s something for us Indians to think about. We are blessed with divine grace, simplicity, and spiritual strength. We should always remain grateful to God for this and to our parents for their blessings — because it’s through them that we’ve reached where we are today.”
Govinda returns with his new film Duniyadari
After his recovery, Govinda shared that he is all set to begin work on his upcoming film Duniyadari. “Through this film, I want to encourage people to reflect and think deeply. People have been waiting and expecting something from me, and Duniyadari will carry a strong message. The film’s subject, as I see it, is about how when a person is betrayed in loyalty and honesty, that’s when they truly understand what duniyadari (worldly ways) really means,” he explained. While the theme of the film is layered, the actor promised that it still retains his signature blend of entertainment. “It’s a bit of a tough subject, but it still has what I’ve always done — comedy, dance, music — everything. However, the message I want is that when people across India and the world watch Duniyadari, they should understand what our country truly stands for.”
