Flat gutted at Kondapur, no casualties reported

Hours before the New Year, a flat in a residential tower was gutted in fire in Kondapur. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

According to an official at the fire control, a distressed call was received at 4.36 p.m. on Tuesday after which three fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire was reported in a flat on the top floor of the G+9 Galaxy Apartment in Raghavendra Colony, Kondapur.

According to the Rangareddy District Fire Officer Shaik Khaja Karimulla, the fire broke out when the residents were changing the gas cylinder. The fire was doused in less than two hours. A case was booked and investigation is under way.
