A man allegedly sexually assaulted his minor daughter at a remote village in Peddapanjani mandal of Palamaner division on Friday (January 2, 2026) night. Palamaner police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and launched a search for the accused.
According to police, the accused, allegedly in an inebriated state, dragged the minor girl out of the house and assaulted her in a nearby forested area. When the girl’s grandmother attempted to intervene and stop the assault, the accused reportedly attacked her as well.
Police said the victim is the daughter of the accused’s first wife. Following the incident, the girl was rushed to the area hospital for treatment.
