Prime Video has unveiled the new trailer for Season 2 of Fallout, and the wasteland is on the brink of a full-blown civil war. The new footage confirms that the series will head straight into one of the franchise’s most iconic settings — New Vegas — setting the stage for a darker, bloodier chapter in the post-apocalyptic saga.
Season 1 ended with Lucy (Ella Purnell) reeling from her father’s betrayal and the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) determined to uncover the fate of the family he lost before the Great War. The new season picks up directly after the explosive finale, following the duo into the Mojave as shifting alliances, warring factions and long-buried secrets reshape the wasteland’s balance of power.
The trailer hints at the scale of what’s coming. “I wastelanded for 200 years. I’ve kept myself alive for one reason — to find my family,” the Ghoul declares, only to be warned by an off-screen voice: “You’re gonna need friends. There’s a war coming.”
This season introduces Justin Theroux as Robert House, one of the most influential figures in Fallout lore. The ruler of the New Vegas Strip, and architect of the Mojave’s nuclear devastation, House steps into live-action for the first time, hinting at seismic shifts for loyal game fans and newcomers alike.
New cast members Kumail Nanjiani and Macaulay Culkin make brief appearances in the trailer, joining returning stars Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias and Frances Turner.
Behind the camera, the series continues to be steered by executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy under the Kilter Films banner, with Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner returning as showrunners. Bethesda’s Todd Howard also remains closely involved as an executive producer.
Fallout Season 2 premieres December 17 on Prime Video, with new episodes rolling out weekly until the February 4 finale.
