‘The Alto Knights’ trailer: Robert De Niro intrigues in a dual role in Barry Levinson’s crime thriller

The trailer for The Alto Knights is out. Directed by Barry Levinson, the crime thriller stars Albert De Niro in a dual role.

The film follows two of New York’s most notorious organised crime bosses, Frank Costello (De Niro) and Vito Genovese (De Niro), as they vie for control of the city’s streets. Once the best of friends, petty jealousies and a series of betrayals place them on a deadly collision course that will reshape the Mafia (and America) forever

Apart from De Niro, the other actors in the movie are Debra Messing, Cosmo Jarvis, Kathrine Narducci, Michael Rispoli, Michael Adler, Ed Amatrudo, Joe Bacino, Anthony J. Gallo, Wallace Langham, Louis Mustillo, Frank Piccirillo, Matt Servitto and Robert Uricola.

Levinson and De Niro previously collaborated in Wag and the Dog, Sleeper, The Wizard of Lies and What Just Happened. Nicholas Pileggi, the co-writer of Goodfellas, has written the screenplay for Alto Knights.
