Rumours of Pushpa 2: The Rule star Allu Arjun venturing into politics are ‘false and baseless’, the actor’s team has clarified in a statement.
Speculation about Arjun’s political ambitions began circulating after the actor’s recent visit to Delhi, where he celebrated the 1000-crore box-office milestone of his latest hit.
At the press meet, Arjun said, “As an Indian standing in the country’s capital, I believe India will lead the future of the world. India will be the leading country in the world.”
Switching to Hindi, he also expressed, “Ye naya Bharat hai, ye ab rukega nahi, ye kabhi jhukega nahi (This is the new India, it won’t stop or bow down).”
His statements dovetailed with reports that Arjun met Prashant Kishor in Delhi to discuss his purported move.
In a statement, the actor’s team clarified –
“We would like to clarify that recent rumors about Mr. Allu Arjun entering into politics is entirely false and baseless.
We kindly request media outlets and individuals to refrain from spreading unverified information. For accurate updates, please rely on official statements from Allu Arjun’s team.”
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule has been smashing records at the box-office. Arjun, riding the Pushpa craze, visited several cities across India to promote the film and meet with his fans.
