Staying true to its title, Pushpa 2: The Rule is ruling the box office. On December 6, 2024, the makers of the film announced that the film has made ₹294 crore worldwide as its day 1 collection and a poster was released calling the film’s day 1 collection the “highest opening day in the history of Indian cinema”.
According to reports, the film is continuing its phenomenal run at the box office and the Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer has apparently crossed the ₹400 crore mark worldwide in two days. According to the tracking website Sacnilk, the film made ₹90.1 crore nett in India on its second day, taking the Indian collection to ₹265 crore.
Released on December 5, Pushpa 2 was showcased across more than 10,000 screens worldwide. The film’s paid premiere shows on December 4, held in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Bengaluru, contributed ₹10.1 crore to its Day 1 earnings. The film reportedly surpassed the first-day collection of films like RRR, Baahubali 2 and KGF 2. The film’s Hindi version is said to have also surpassed the collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.
Featuring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles, Pushpa 2 also boasts an ensemble cast including Anasuya Bharadwaj, Sunil, and Jagapathi Babu. A special cameo by Sreeleela further added to the excitement surrounding the film. The film is directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, in association with Sukumar Writings.
