Actor Pradeep Ranganathan’s upcoming film, Dragon, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, is all set to release in theatres on February 14, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.

The banner backing the film, AGS Entertainment, who had also produced Pradeep’s blockbuster Love Today, announced the news on their social media handles.

Starring Anupama Parameswaran and Kayadu Lohar as the female leads, Dragon also stars Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, KS Ravikumar, George Maryan and Indumathi Manikandan in pivotal roles.

Actors and content creators VJ Siddhu and Harshanth Khan, best known for their popular youth-friendly vlogging channel VJ Siddhu Vlogs, are also part of the cast of Dragon.

With music scored by Leon James, the film has cinematography by Niketh Bommi and editing by Pradeep E Ragav. Ashwath has also written the screenplay and dialogues of Dragon, having also written the story along with Pradeep Ranganathan.

Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh produce the film under their AGS Entertainment banner. Archana Kalpathi serves as the creative producer. Dragon is the banner’s 26th project. The production house also backed Vijay’s latest movie, The Greatest of All Time, directed by Venkat Prabhu.

Pradeep, who made his directorial debut in 2019 with the Jayam Ravi starrer Comali, shot to fame after the release of his sophomore film Love Today, in which he also starred as the protagonist. He will be seen next in director Vignesh Shivan’s upcoming film, Love Insurance Kompany, which stars Krithi Shetty as the female lead.

Ashwath is best known for the romantic comedy Oh My Kadavule. The film, which marked the director’s feature directorial debut, was headlined by Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh and Vani Bhojan and featured Vijay Sethupathi in a cameo. He went on to remake the film in Telugu as 2022’s Ori Devuda, which starred Vishwak Sen, Mithila Palkar, and Asha Bhat in the lead roles with Venkatesh appearing in a cameo.

After Dragon, AGS Entertainment and Ashwath are once again teaming up for a film starring Silambarasan TR.
