Durgesh made his debut in Alia Bhatt, Randeep Hooda starrer ‘Highway’, post which, he did many small roles in films like ‘Sultan’ and ‘Sanju’. But only found recognition now after years of struggle. Earlier, he had admitted that during his struggling days, he did even soft porn movies to earn money. He had said, “I can’t live without acting. I did any work that came my way because I was confident in my abilities.”

Durgesh had also said during an interview with Lallantop, “This is no place to try. This place is filled with crazy people. All the successful people you see today, including Manoj Bajpayee and Pankaj Tripathi, who were my seniors at the National School of Drama or even Nawazuddin Siddiqui, they are all half crazy people, nobody discloses this. This is the kind of struggle and dedication it takes to survive in the industry.”
