Kelly Clarkson slams negative reviews of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ | – Times of India

Kelly Clarkson, the famous singer and talk show host, recently defended ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ against negative critiques. In a fervent speech on her Daytime Show, Clarkson voiced her frustration with the critics of the 2019 blockbuster, which broke box office records and featured Robert Downey Jr.’s final performance as Iron Man.
In the video, Kelly Clarkson was visibly irritated by the negative feedback the movie had received. She dismissed the criticisms, emphasizing the film’s significance and popularity among fans. “Who gave this a bad review? Ugh, it’s just these big, epic Marvel things. These big epic superhero movies,” Clarkson exclaimed. She argued that not every film needs to be a critical darling like ‘Shawshank Redemption’ to be appreciated. “Fans love them. Not everything has to be Shawshank Redemption. Whatever.”
She also tackled specific critiques head-on. One critic compared the movies to theme park rides, echoing Martin Scorsese’s infamous analogy. Clarkson retorted, “There’s nothing wrong with theme park rides. People love theme parks!” Another critic mocked a scene where Scarlett Johansson’s character, Natasha Romanoff, eats a peanut butter sandwich, deeming it inappropriate for a film with a $350 million budget. Clarkson found this criticism absurd, pointing out the context of the scene: “I know what you’re talking about, and that’s when all of her friends freaking disappeared! They’re gone! Who cares what she’s eating?! Was she supposed to be dining on sushi while all of her friends were gone?”
According to Kelly, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ deserved nothing less than a five-star rating. She praised the film’s climactic moments and the epic return of the characters. “The end of Endgame was so boss! They all came back! Doctor Strange is incredible. He was just like br, br, br, br with the magic, and like everybody came through and was like, ‘What’s up, Thanos?'” Clarkson enthused.
She further clarified her stance, saying, “My favorite films are my favorite films. I love them, and everybody’s entitled to their opinion. I was being funny, but, you know, you’re wrong. For all you haters out there, I give your reviews one star—half a star! I just took half of it away.”
