Kannada star Dhananjaya, popularly known as ‘Daali’ Dhananjaya, tied the knot with Dhanyatha in Mysuru on February 16, 2025 (Sunday). The couple’s wedding ceremony was held at the Mysore Exhibition Grounds opposite Amba Vilas Palace.
While the wedding reception was held on February 15, 2025 (Saturday), the marriage took place on February 16, 2025. Dhanyatha, who hails from Chitradurga, is a consultant obstetrician, gynaecologist and fertility specialist. According to reports, Dhananjaya and Dhanyatha were in a relationship for sometime now.
The couple made their relationship official through a video in November, 2024. Upendra, Dhruva Sarja, Vasuki Vaibhav, Nagabhushana, Saptami Gowda, Naveen Shankar, Srii Murali, Sruthi Hariharan and Poornachandra Mysore were some of the prominent members from the Kannada film industry who attended the reception.
The wedding ceremony saw the presence of superstar Shivarajkumar — who recently returned from the US after undergoing treatment for cancer— and actor Ramya, called ‘Sandalwood Queen’ by her fans. Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Minister Dr HC Mahadevappa, and BJP State President BY Vijayendra were some of the politicians who attended the event.

Dhananjaya, who was last seen in a cameo in the pan-Indian blockbuster Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun, will be seen in the Kannada film Anna From Mexico, directed by Shankar Guru, who made his debut with Badava Rascal. Dhananjaya’s last outing as a lead was Kotee.
The actor has also teamed up with Daredevil Mushtafa director Shashank Soghal for Jingoand he is playing the lead in the ambitious, two-part gangster drama Uttarakaanda, directed by Rohit Padaki and produced by KRG Studios.
