The ‘Archies‘ actor, and her co-star Vedang Raina was also part of the training session. ‘Basketball plays a very important subplot in the film. With Alia and Vedang playing siblings in the film, basketball is one of the important aspects of their life which brings them together. The film will have sequences, where the two of them will be seen playing the game together.”
Jigra was earlier slated to release on 27th September, but when Pushpa – The Rule moved away from 15th August, it led to a lot of changes in the movie release calendar. Hence, makers of Jigra shifted it to to 11th October , the date now coincides with the Dusshera holiday on 12th.
The story of the film revolves around two siblings played by Alia and Vedang. Their life goes for a toss when Vedang gets wrongfully arrested, and Alia takes it on herself to secure his release.
