During a round-table chat with Rajeev Masand, which also featured Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Anil Kapoor, Ranveer shared a funny incident. As a teenager, he had visited the sets of Akshay and Raveena Tandon’s film Mohra, where something unexpected happened.
Ranveer recalled being mesmerized by Raveena Tandon, remembering her in a white saree. However, Akshay Kumar interrupted, correcting him that the saree was actually yellow. Ranveer then admitted that as a young boy, he couldn’t stop admiring Raveena ji.
Getting thrown out of the set
Ranveer continued, saying that he was staring at Raveena Tandon with wide eyes, which made her a bit uncomfortable. She then asked a security guard to escort him away. He recalled feeling heartbroken and almost in tears when suddenly, he felt someone’s hand on his shoulder.
Meeting Akshay Kumar for the first time
Ranveer also remembered that the same day was special for another reason—it was the first time he met Akshay Kumar. Just as he was feeling disappointed about being asked to leave, he turned around and saw Akshay, who complimented his haircut. That small gesture cheered him up, and he happily took a picture with the superstar.
Ranveer confessed that at that moment, he wished to be like Akshay someday. Later, Varun Dhawan playfully asked if he had at least gotten a picture with Raveena. Ranveer, looking disappointed, replied with a sad “no” and made a face.
