Over the last few days, social media has been abuzz with claims that streaming giant Netflix has removed scenes and a song featuring Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela in the streaming version of Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna’s recent hit, Daaku Maharaaj.

Directed by Bobby Kolli, Daaku Maharaaj was released in theatres on January 12 and made its streaming debut on Friday, February 21. According to reports, what seems to have added fuel to the rumours is a streaming announcement poster from the streamer that didn’t feature Urvashi.

So, did Netflix really remove Urvashi’s scenes, including the popular ‘Dabibi Dibibi’ song?

The rumours seem to be nothing more than baseless assumptions since the streaming version of Daaku Maharaaj seems similar to that of the theatrical cut. From her introduction scene to the ‘Dabibi Dibibi’ song, all of Urvashi’s appearances in the theatrical cut have been retained on the OTT version.

Moreover, Netflix on Friday unveiled a new streaming announcement poster that features Urvashi along with the rest of the cast, putting an end to the rumours.

Daaku Maharaaj also stars Shraddha Srinath, Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaisal, and Chandhini Chowdary among others. With music scored by Thaman S, the film has cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Niranjan Devaramane.

The film is produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under their banners Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinema.
