Netflix on Friday dropped the trailer of the much-anticipated seventh season of its popular dystopian sci-fi anthology series Black Mirror. Starring Awkwafina, Cristin Milioti and Emma Corrin, among others, the seventh season of the show premieres on Netflix on April 10.
Set to a remixed version of The Mamas & the Papas’ ‘Dream A Little Dream Of Me,’ the trailer shows glimpses from its six episodes in which humans, artificial intelligence, and unimaginable tech advancements come together in shocking, mind-bending narratives.
As Netflix had earlier revealed, the upcoming season will also feature a sequel to the Season 4 fan-favourite, U.S.S Callister, making it the first sequel episode in the history of the series. The stars of that episode, Billy Magnussen, Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, Milanka Brooks, and Osy Ikhile, are returning for the sequel.
Interestingly, the trailer also features a glimpse at Will Poulter and Asim Chaudhry, the stars of Netflix’s 2019 choose-your-own-adventure film, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.
Created by Charlie Brooker, the seventh season of Black Mirror also features Peter Capaldi, Paul Giamatti, Chris O’Dowd, Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, Rosy McEwen, Chris O’Dowd, and Harriet Walter, among others. Rashida Jones, who wrote Season 3’s Nosedive episode, returns in Season 7, this time in front of the camera.
Black Mirror Season 7 is produced by Broke & Bones. The show is executive produced by Brooker along with Jessica Rhoades and Annabel Jones.
