The makers of Dude, the upcoming Tamil film headlined by Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, unveiled the film’s trailer on Thursday (October 9). Written and directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, the film is set to release in theatres on October 17 on the occassion of Diwali.
The trailer, cut in such a way that it doesn’t reveal the plot, introduces Pradeep as an angry young man who is suffering from heartbreak. In one of the sequences, he is even seen disrupting the wedding of his ex-girlfriend. However, soon, his equation with his best friend (Mamitha) takes a romantic turn. But that’s not all. The trailer cut, like the promos, seems to be hiding something important about the story.

Dude also stars Sarathkumar, Rohini Molleti, Hridhu Haroon, Aishwarya Sharma, and Dravid Selvam among others.
With music scored by Sai Abhyankkar, the film has cinematography by Niketh Bommi and editing by Barath Vikraman. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers, Dude will release in theatres in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
Notably, Pradeep, who was last seen in the blockbuster comedy drama Dragon, will be seen next in Love Insurance Kompany, which is now set to release on December 18.
