Adviser to the Government (Public Affairs) K. Keshava Rao on Saturday asked Vice-Chancellors of various public universities in the State to optimise human resources, dismantle bureaucratic barriers, and foster unity to drive the State to the forefront of national education.
Addressing VCs of 12 universities and senior Education officials at the Vice-Chancellors’ meet – themed on NAAC activities and budget proposals – held at Osmania University, he said accessible learning for all can be ensured by leveraging digital education. He observed that “development of education system is a symbol of societal progress” and urged educational institutions to adapt to the rapid changes in the higher education landscape.
Secretary (Education) Yogita Rana too, noting the advancements in pedagogy, digital education, and technology as keys to better outcomes, urged the VCs to work cohesively and said the State’s dream of an ambitious trillion-dollar economy was possible through education.
Ms. Yogita Rana affirmed that the State government is committed to providing all necessary resources to ensure Telangana’s students excel nationally, and with a specific focus on restoring the legacy of Osmania and Kakatiya Universities.
Commissioner, Collegiate Education, A. Sridevasena, advised the VCs to submit meticulously planned proposals for infrastructure development, laboratories, and other essential needs for allocation of funds. She requested proposals with clear Detailed Project Reports and urged continuous coordination with senior officials for quick resolution.
Chairman, Telangana State Council of Higher Education, V. Balakista Reddy called upon the university leadership for collaborations with industries and other educational institutions.
