The main trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle has been officially released by Sony Pictures and Crunchyroll, offering us a first look at what promises to be the climactic conclusion of the hit anime series. The upcoming film, directed by Haruo Sotozaki and animated by Ufotable, is the first in a trilogy adapting the final arc of Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga.
Following the events of the recently concluded Hashira Training Arc, the new film begins with a surprise attack by the series’ main antagonist Muzan Kibutsuji. This sets the stage for Tanjiro Kamado and his allies to be plunged into the Infinity Castle — the enemy stronghold where the decisive battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan’s forces will unfold.
Infinity Castle is set to premiere in Japan on July 18, 2025. The international theatrical rollout will follow in phases, starting August 12 in Thailand and expanding globally through September. Indian audiences can catch the film in theatres beginning September 12, available in both Japanese with English subtitles and dubbed versions.
The film’s soundtrack features two new theme songs: “A World Where the Sun Never Rises” by Aimer and “Shine in the Cruel Night” by LiSA. Both tracks will be available on streaming platforms starting July 18.
Crunchyroll’s synopsis emphasises the stakes of this final arc, highlighting Tanjiro’s growth, his enduring friendships, and the strength of the Hashira. Battles in past seasons have already included confrontations alongside Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, and more recently the Mist and Love Hashira.
Originally serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2016 to 2020, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has become one of the most influential manga and anime properties in recent years. Its previous film, Mugen Train, broke records and helped redefine anime’s presence in global cinema.
The Infinity Castle trilogy marks the end of the anime adaptation, and the newly released trailer makes clear that the series is heading toward a dramatic and visually stunning finale.
