Cyclone Fengal’s remnant expected to weaken further, cause heavy rain in 15 districts in Tamil Nadu
The remnant of Cyclone Fengal that brought torrential rainfall in various districts is expected to weaken further by Tuesday (December 3, 2024). It is expected to bring heavy rainfall to 15 districts in the State as it moves.
The weather system, which is travelling westward slowly, pounded various districts on its path and left a trail of floods. The Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai, has issued a yellow alert indicating the possibility of heavy rainfall up to 11 cm in interior and Western Ghat districts, including the Nilgiris, Krishnagiri, Tiruppur, Erode, Theni, and Madurai, on Tuesday (December 3, 2024).
