A fisherman from Azhithala went missing after his fishing boat capsized off the Vadakara coast in Kerala on Tuesday (August 5, 2025) night. The Coastal police said the incident took place around 11 p.m.
The missing person was identified as M.V. Subair. His son, Suneer, had a narrow escape from the capsized boat and managed to swim back to the shore without any injuries.
Police sources said the country boat met with the accident unable to withstand the heavy tide. They said the search operation was intensified for Subair on Wednesday with the support of local fishers and coastal police squads.
