Ola, Uber, Zomato among 21 entities registered under Delhi’s Motor Vehicle Aggregator Scheme

Under one ambit: The Delhi government’s ‘Motor Vehicle Aggregator and Delivery Service Provider Scheme’ now includes over one lakh vehicles from 21 different cab aggregators, delivery service providers, and e-commerce companies, the city’s transport department announced on Saturday.

This scheme mandates that cab aggregators, delivery service providers, and e-commerce entities with fleets of more than 25 vehicles must register to obtain a licence. Additionally, it establishes a timeline for the electrification of their fleets.

Entities failing to comply with the scheme’s regulations will face penalties as stipulated by the provisions of the scheme.

As per the scheme cab aggregators, e-commerce entities and delivery service providers, with fleets of more than 25 vehicles shall register to obtain a licence. Besides, the scheme sets up a timeline for the electrification of their fleets. The entities that fail to comply with the scheme’s regulations shall face penalties as stipulated by the provisions of the scheme.
