Overcome digital divide

The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), which is the industry body of top telcos, expressed optimism about the auction’s potential to enhance connectivity across the country.

In its statement, COAI underlined the importance of the successful completion of the 5G spectrum auctions. “5G auctions will expedite the rollout of 5G services nationwide, leading to improved coverage and connectivity,” the statement read. Additionally, COAI highlighted that successful 5G deployment would significantly contribute to digital inclusion.

“These auctions will help bridge the digital divide, ensuring that even remote areas gain access to high-speed internet, fostering economic opportunities and social advancement,” COAI added. The auctions reflect a commitment to “Viksit Bharat,” laying the groundwork for a digitally empowered India.
