Mighty Marathas defeated Prithviraj Yodhas 6-2 in the Archery Premier League at the Yamuna Sports Complex here on Monday. In wet conditions in the national capital, the Marathas began on a strong note with debutant Aman Saini striking a perfect 10.
While the first two sets were won by Marathas, Yodhas struck back in the third with a 75-72 win. The former bounced back strongly in the fourth and final set.
On Sunday, Prithviraj Yodhas had defeated Chero Archers in a shoot-off while Rajputana Royals continued their good run with a 6-2 victory against Kakatiya Knights.
For the Yodhas, Abhishek Verma proved his class in the shoot-off by hitting a perfect 10 to give his team an early lead. Gatha Anandrao followed up with another one, eventually helping the Yodhas seal victory.
