The Commissioner of Tamil Nadu Food Safety and Drug Administration extended the ban on gutkha, pan masala and other chewable products with tobacco or nicotine as ingredients by another year. A recent notification from the Commissioner extended the prohibition of these items for another year from May 23, 2024.
