A male warden of an Ashram school in Bela mandal of Adilabad district was arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for allegedly peeping into the bathroom when some girl students were taking bath, police said.
According to sources, some of the students complained about the incident to the organisers of an awareness programme on “SHE teams for women’s safety” held at their residential educational institution a few days ago.
Subsequently, the matter was referred to the local police, who in turn registered a case against the warden under POCSO Act after conducting an inquiry at the institution.
