Kalyani Priyadarshan’s ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra’ continues its theatrical run into the fifth week by crossing the Rs 150 crore milestone. Amid this milestone, the film’s day wise collections have seen a huge drop.On its 35th day, early estimates suggest the movie collected around Rs 1.85 crore net in India across all languages.
Mid-week collections show gradual decline
According to Sacnilk website data, the Malayalam version continues to dominate the box office as it has contributed the bulk of earnings with 41.14% occupancy on Wednesday.Morning shows recorded 22.47%, while afternoon and evening shows saw a rise to 46.55% and 47.37% respectively. Night shows performed slightly better at 48.17%. Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions contributed minimally. Week 4 had already seen a drop to Rs 13.25 crore from the previous week.
‘Lokah’ keeps on getting good reviews
Even after 35 days, there are hardly any mixed reviews for Dominic Arun’s directorial. All thanks to its stunning execution, story line and performances. The movie features Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead, supported by Naslen K. Gafoor, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, and Vijayaraghavan.
With 35 days in theatres, the film’s total collections have crossed Rs 150.75 crore, marking it as a significant commercial success. With the highly awaited film ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ release, ‘Lokah’s collections can be also affected. Let’s wait and see whether the Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer will cross Rs 200 crores from India in the coming weeks.
