Setting a clear goal combined with self-confidence will simplify the path to success in competitive examinations, Police Commissioner of Hubballi-Dharwad N. Shashikumar has said.

He was inaugurating Gurudev Sambhrama, a felicitation programme organised by Gurudev IAS, KAS and Banking Academy, in Dharwad recently.

Engaging students in a discussion on do’s and don’ts while preparing for competitive examinations, Mr. Shashikumar gave valuable insights to the aspirants.

Commercial Tax Officer Santosh Kumar R. emphasised that studying according to the prescribed syllabus will enable them to qualify for multiple positions. He told them to make dedicated efforts and not get disheartened by initial failures. He also advised them to meticulously follow all Central and State government notifications.

Presiding over the felicitation programme, director of the institute Akhilkumar R. Halagatti said that while everyone will have one challenge or the other in the family, the aspirants will have to set their priorities right and be persistent in their efforts in order to excel in competition.

Mr. Halagatti said that over 500 students of the institute have secured different positions in government sector, since the date of its inception.

In the event attended by around 1,500 aspirants of competitive examinations, successful candidates and faculty members of the institute were felicitated.
