Dhulipalla slams YSRCP leader’s ‘attack’ on YouTuber in police custody

TDP MLA Dhulipalla Narendra has criticised YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders, accusing them of continuing to act with arrogance despite being voted out of power. Citing the incident involving former MP Gorantla Madhav, Mr. Dhulipalla alleged that Mr. Madhav attacked YouTuber Chebrolu Kiran while he was in police custody, calling it a shameful blot on democracy, in a statement on Thursday.

Dhulipalla questioned how Madhav knew Kiran’s transfer route without inside information from the YSRCP sympathisers within the police department. “This clearly indicates a premeditated assault,” he said.

Stating that the Alliance government had arrested Mr. Kiran over inappropriate comments on YSRCP leaders’ families, Mr. Dhulipalla noted that it was done within legal bounds, reflecting the government’s integrity.

He demanded an investigation and action against those who leaked information to Mr. Madhav. “If not, the attack in custody reflects a grave police failure,” he said.
