A poster for ‘Ziddi Girls’
Ziddi Girls, a young adult drama series about four Gen-Z college-goers, will stream on Prime Video from February 27, the makers have announced. Directed by Shonali Bose and written and co-directed by Vasant Nath and Neha Veena Sharma, the series follows four friends commencing life at a reputed Delhi college called Matilda House, navigating their dreams and the realities of adulthood.
“The series delves into their exploration of a world that is both welcoming and unforgiving, showcasing love and heartbreak, hope and disillusionment, rebellion and growth, and innocence alongside the harsh realities of adulting,” read a note from the makers.
Ziddi Girls is produced under the banner of Pritish Nandy Communications and created by Rangita Pritish Nandy and Ishita Pritish Nandy.
The series features a cast of newcomers, including Atiya Tara Nayak, Umang Bhadana, Zaina Ali, Deeya Damini and Anupriya Caroli.
Seasoned actors Simran, Nandita Das, Nandish Singh Sandhu, Lillete Dubey and Revathy are also featured in the eight-episode Hindi original series.
