Kangana Ranaut opens up about her feud with Karan Johar and Diljit Dosanjh | Hindi Movie News – The Times of India

Popular Indian actress Kangana Ranaut has addressed whether she is prepared to reconcile with filmmaker Karan Johar and singer Diljit Dosanjh. In an interview with The New Indian, Kangana stated that she has no animosity towards either of them and has made peace. While she appreciates their work, such as Karan’s Shershaah or Diljit’s projects, she emphasized that she doesn’t feel the need to be friends with them. Kangana Ranaut clarified, “I’m at peace with them. When I see great work coming from them, I’m open to appreciating it. But do I need to make them my friends or spend time with them? No, that’s not necessary.”
Kangana Ranaut’s disputes with both figures have been highly publicized. Her feud with Diljit Dosanjh stemmed from the 2020 farmers’ protests, where she accused him of instigating the protests and later vanishing from the scene. Diljit, however, strongly countered her claims and continued to vocally support the protesting farmers. The two engaged in a heated exchange on social media. Meanwhile, her issues with Karan Johar date back to 2017 when she famously called him the “flag-bearer of nepotism” during an episode of Koffee with Karan. While Karan defended himself by highlighting his efforts to launch new talent, Kangana Ranaut continued to criticize him on social media, accusing him of promoting nepotism in Bollywood.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut addressed the possibility of working with Karan Johar’s production house, during her appearance on Indian Idol 15. She remarked humorously, “Karan sir should work with me. I’d give him a great role and make a proper film, not a PR exercise or a saas-bahu gossip saga.” Despite her controversial history with both Karan and Diljit, Kangana Ranaut’s statements suggest a shift towards coexistence, though not necessarily camaraderie, marking an interesting turn in their professional relationships.
