A 55-year-old woman was brutally murdered at Arthattu, near Kunnamkulam, in Thrissur district of Kerala on Monday (December 30, 2024) evening. The victim, Sindhu, wife of Manikandan, was allegedly killed during a theft attempt. Her gold jewellery was stolen.
The gruesome incident occurred around 7 p.m. while her husband Manikandan was out. The couple had been running a flour mill near their house. Neighbours reported seeing a masked youth near their house around the time of the crime.
Later, local residents apprehended a suspect, Kannan from Muthuvara, and handed him over to the police. Sindhu’s missing jewellery was reportedly found in his possession.
