myTVS enters quick commerce segment for distribution of auto parts, lubricants

MyTVS, a brand of Ki Mobility and part of TVS Mobility group, announced its entry into the quick commerce segment for distribution of auto parts and lubricants for passenger and commercial vehicles.

“We are planning to open 250 dark stores branded as myTVS Hypermart in the next three years,” its MD G. Srinivasa Raghavan said during a media interaction.

Out of the 250, 50 dark stores would come up in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra and Gujarat by March 2025. Currently, Tamil Nadu and Kerala have 14 dark stores, Mr. Raghavan said.

“It’s a unique and inclusive model. We can cater to a wide range of services based on dealer requirements. Customers can order parts online using myTVS app and we promise to deliver within two hours to the retailers,” he said.

According to him, myTVS has built the country’s largest digital catalogue of parts and lubricants, featuring eight million SKUs for both commercial vehicles and passenger cars. myTVS aims to connect 50,000 garages and retailers across India by 2025.

These stores will leverage AI-driven supply chain technology to ensure minimal returns and deliver the right product at the right place and at the right time.

Through this innovative approach, partner retailers will be able to significantly enhance their product portfolio while reducing the inventory holding period to nil, ensuring faster service, lower costs and greater operational efficiency.

The whole model works in the form of ‘Supply Chain as a Pipe.’ This model introduces a consignment inventory system at partner stores, allowing them to focus on business growth without needing to hold the stock as inventory, he said.

“During the pilot phase of three months, this model demonstrated significant success, achieving profitability per store and superior returns for partner retailers. The success prompted a retailer to open the second store,” he said.
