Optical illusions are psychology-based weird images which can help one understand themselves better. How? Well, these images have one or more elements which act as illusions and can be interpreted in different ways. Depending on what a person sees first reflects their viewpoint and way of perceiving the world. And so, they help one understand their hidden personality traits and know themselves better.
This particular optical illusion personality test was first shared by Mia Yilin, TikTok content creator on social media. The optical illusion above has one element which can be viewed in two different ways. A person can either see a snow-clad mountain or a dog in the image above. And based on what one sees first, the test can reveal if a person is easygoing or too emotional in life.
To take this test, simply look at the picture above and notice what you saw at first glance. Now read on to know what it means:
1. If you saw the mountains in the image first
Then it means that you are known to be friendly and kind to others. You prefer having peace over anything else in life, and so you often let others win small arguments or let them have their way to protect your mental sanity. This would sometimes make people think that you are laid back or don’t take initiative in life. However, those who are close to you know that you are quite hardworking in life. “(You) always give everything 100%. even if you don’t get much in return,” Mia Yilin said on social media, describing people who saw the mountains in the image first.
2. If you saw the dog first in the image
However, at first glance, if you notice a dog in the optical illusion image above, then it means that you are an emotional person, while you might not always show your feelings or emotions to others. “You like to pretend you are indifferent to the major life events happening around you. But in reality, you feel anxious and insecure,” Mia Yilin said. Such people are also easily swayed by their external circumstances– when things go well in their life, they are quite happy but when things go wrong, they easily get frustrated. Such emotional people are also very sensitive to what others say, and they often take people’s promises/ words very seriously only to get hurt in the process. “You also take promises super seriously and what annoys you the most are people who go back on their word,” she added.
