Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Sunday. The couple shared the happy news with their fans on Instagram, posting a simple message, “Welcome baby girl.” As Deepika recovers from childbirth, a special visitor stopped by the hospital, Ranveer’s sister Ritika Bhavnani.
In a video shared on social media, Ritika was spotted heading to the hospital to meet her niece.She chose to avoid the media as she made her way inside to check on Deepika and the newborn. Deepika was admitted to a hospital in South Mumbai on Saturday evening.

The news of the baby girl’s arrival brought an outpouring of love from Bollywood celebrities and fans alike. Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, and Kareena Kapoor Khan were among those who congratulated the couple with heartfelt messages and emojis.
Before welcoming their first child, Deepika and Ranveer visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Friday evening. The couple was clicked by the shutterbugs as they entered the temple premises. They were all smiles as they arrived at the temple to see Lord Ganesha’s blessings.

Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy in February this year. Recently, the couple treated fans with their stunning maternity shoot. In the pictures, the couple can be seen embracing baby bump.

It has been reported that her maternity leave will last until March 2025. After her leave, she is expected to dive back into work, starting with the sequel to Nag Ashwin’s Kalki alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas. She’s also scheduled to begin work on The Intern remake with Big B next year.
